Francois Xavier Boudant takes the victory in Prize Epona

After the SAK volonteer competition and the Schildknecht Einstreu Swiss Talents in the morning, the international 5* riders also started the Longines CSIO St. Gallen 2023 in the Prize Epona. The first competition over 140 cm, with prize money of 10,000 Euros, was won by the French rider Francois Xavier Boudant with his ten-year-old gelding Diamant de Riverland, by Diamant de Semilly. With a lead of almost two seconds, he clearly distanced himself from the competition. The first runner-up was the Swiss rider Alain Jufer on Dark Grey MM, who secured second place at his home CSIO opener. The Dutch world number 25 Jur Vrieling took third place with Chabada de l'Esques.

The starting field was well filled with a total of 59 pairs and 21 of them were able to complete the course without penalty points. We are looking forward to further strong sporting performances and many highlights on the upcoming show days.
