Last night he secured Switzerland's home victory with his brilliant ride in the jump-off of the Nations Cup and this morning he strikes again in the first class. We are talking about the current world number 4, Martin Fuchs. With his eight-year-old youngster Pina Van De Moerhoeve, owned by Luigi Baleri, he won the Alpsteinzaun + Tor Youngster Cup with zero points in a time of 67.65 seconds. He thus is over two seconds faster than the second-placed rider, Pius Schwizer with Pinky Pie De Libersart. Twenty-six-year-old French rider Megane Moissonnier ranked third with Fein Lotta DK.

The Alpsteinzaun + Tor Youngster Cup was the second and final qualifier for the Büchel Youngster Final on Sunday (starting at 09:30). The competition is open to seven and eight year old horses, which in the two qualifying competitions run through a course over 135 cm for the seven year olds and 140 cm for the eight year olds. In the final, the obstacle height is then increased by five cm. This format with two qualification competitions and the final offers the possibility to slowly introduce the young horses to championship competitions.
