These top nations are coming to St. Gallen

In addition to the Swiss team, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland and the USA have already confirmed their participation at the next Longines CSIO St. Gallen, which will take place from June 4 to 7, 2026, at the Gründenmoos Stadium. “All countries that won medals at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris and the 2025 European Championships in A Coruña will be competing here. These top nations will take advantage of our tournament to make their selections a good two months before the World Championships in Aachen, and we can look forward to high-class equestrian sport,” promises tournament director Kai Huttrop-Hage.

The participating countries have won 78 of the 96 Nations Cups held in Switzerland to date. Germany is the defending champion and the record winner on Swiss soil with 20 victories. France is in second place with 16 wins, ahead of Great Britain with 13 and Switzerland with 12. Ireland and the USA have each stood at the top of the podium seven times, Belgium twice and Brazil once. Peter van der Waaij, Chef d’Equpe for Switzerland, announces: “We will be competing with the strongest possible team and are looking forward to measuring ourselves against the tough competitors. St. Gallen is a very important milestone for us on the road to the World Championships.”

For OC President Nayla Stössel, one thing is clear: “The commitments from these top nations are impressive proof of the trust they have in us. These teams promise big names in and under the saddle, thrilling duels, and exciting show jumping. It's a good idea to buy your ticket already today.”
