Germany won the Nations Cup at the 3* tournament in Vilamoura, Portugal, with eight penalty points, ahead of France with 13 points. Third place was shared by Italy, Great Britain and Ireland with 16 points each. Things did not go according to plan for the Swiss team in their only Nations Cup participation this year and Michel Sorg's premiere as Chef d'Equipe. With 20 faults in the first round, the qualification for the second round was clearly missed and it was only enough for 11th place, shared with Spain, out of a total of twelve teams. The best performance of the quartet was achieved by Aurelia Loser with Rahmannshof Tic Tac with four penalty points. Elian Baumann with Campari Z, Elin Ott with Remix and Bryan Balsiger with Twentytwo des Biches each had eight faults.
