Niamh McEvoy wins the Reitsport.ch Youngster Grand Prix

Ireland's Niamh McEvoy has won the Reitsport.ch Youngster Grand Prix, the highlight of the CSIYH1* competitions for young horses at the Longines CSIO St. Gallen. Run over two phases (both under Table A against the clock) with obstacles up to 140 cm for 7-year-old horses and up to 145 cm for 8-year-olds, the class came down to three double-clear combinations, separated by their second-phase time.

Aboard Boleybawn Alvaro, McEvoy set the decisive time of 34.44 seconds. She finished ahead of Brazil's Eduardo Pereira de Menezes with Excellent Sunshine Z, second in 34.67 seconds, and Switzerland's Anthony Bourquard with Icone de Laume, third in 36.55 seconds.
