Lorde do Belmonte with Martin Fuchs wins Büchel Youngster Final

On Friday and Saturday the seven and eight year old horses had the opportunity to qualify for the Bücheler Youngster Final in two competitions. The best 25 pairs from these qualification classes competed in the final today, Sunday. Seven of them passed the normal course without any faults and competed in the jump-off for the victory, among them five Swiss riders. The fastest round in the jump-off was shown by the eight-year-old Lorde do Belmonte, owned by Thomas Fuchs and ridden by Martin Fuchs. Behind them were the Danish rider Martin Dinesen Neergaard with the seven-year-old stallion Disney Z and the Swiss rider Anthony Bourquard with the eight-year-old gelding Fontaineblau Manciais. The other Swiss in the jump-off, Daniel Etter, Janika Sprunger and Barbara Schnieper placed fourth to sixth. Dominik Fuhrer was also able to classify himself on the ninth place despite four points in the normal course.

Now it goes on blow by blow because at 11:45 o'clock already the next final starts. The Les Trois Rois Swiss Cup Final, with prize money of CHF 32,300, will be held over 150 cm in two rounds. The penalty points from both rounds will be added together and the time in the second round will decide in the event of a tie.
