The ten best nations 2024 to compete in St. Gallen

This is more than pleasing: the top 10 nations according to the world rankings have all decided to take part in the new Longines League of Nations and will therefore also be competing at the Longines CSIO St.Gallen from May 30 to June 2, 2024 at Gründenmoos. We can look forward to riding stars from Belgium, Brazil, Germany, France, Great Britain, Ireland, the Netherlands, Sweden and the USA competing against Switzerland.

Sweden, the reigning Olympic, World and European champions, will be at the start. The USA won silver in Tokyo and triumphed at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago de Chile. Belgium returned from the last Olympic Games with bronze. At the 2022 World Championships in Herning (DEN), the Netherlands took silver and Great Britain bronze. Ireland took silver at the 2023 European Championships in Milan, while Brazil won bronze at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago de Chile. These seven nations have won ten of the possible twelve medals at the last four major team championships. They are joined by Germany, the record winner of the Nations Cup of Switzerland with 19 victories, France with 16 wins to date, and Switzerland, who are the defending champions.
