Around 1000 spectators, mostly children of course sat glued to the traditional Notenstein Children Afternoon show at Gründenmoos and experienced the premiere of the Pippi Langstrumpf musical, a result of an intensive 35 children and teenager intensive practicing since February. The team of Bettina Kaegi, who runs a ballet, theater and dance school in Widnau, performed splendidly before the audience, featuring the adventures of Pippi Langstrumpf with her friends Tommy and Annika, her dapple gray horse and Mr Nilsson.
The program was highlighted by a world-class voltige band Lutisburg headed by Monika Winkler that performed impressive acrobatics and movements on horses. Following the afternoon's snack was an exciting treasure hunt, a splendid adventure under the sun.
PS: Friday and Saturday re-runs of Pippi Langstrumpf's show shall be performed on Piazza stage.
