Beginning of the Nations Cup season

Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup™ Jumping Trophy Focus on Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup™ Jumping Trophy (ESC key to close)

The 106th Nations Cup season starts on Friday, February 13th, 2015 in Ocala (Florida, USA). Split in the six regions Europe (10 nations and 7 final places in Division 1, 16 nations and 2 final places in Division 2), North- and Middle America and the Caribbean (4 nations and 2 final places), South America (5 nations and 2 final places), Middle East (5 nations and 2 final places), Asia/Australia (3 nations and 2 final places) and Africa (2 nations and 1 final place), there are in total 45 nations competing. All of them want to qualify themselves as one of the 18 teams for the final, which will be held for the third time in row in Barcelona from September 24th to 27th 2015. Only in three regions there are qualification tournaments. Eight each in the two Europe Divisions, three in North- and Middle America and one in the Middle East. In total there are 20 qualification tournaments in the same amount of countries. In the other three regions, qualification is based on an National Federation (NF) ranking established by the addition of Longines Ranking points two months prior to the Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup™ Final of the four best Athletes of each NF in the Region. If Spain isn’t qualified directly in the Europe Division 1, they will receive the 19. starting place as the nation hosting the final
