Two new participants, Nadja Steiner and Evelyne Bussmann, start their first Longines CSIO St. Gallen experience following the cancellation of Claudia Gisler. 28 y.o. Nadja Steiner is replacing Claudia Gisler because of an little injury of her primary horse Touchable.

Evelyne Bussmann has come into play following the withdrawal of the Spaniard Manuel Añon and Norwegian Victoria and Geir Gulliksen. Her recent achievements include the 4th place in 3-star Gorla Minore CSI riding the Swiss mare Océane de la Taille, the 7th place in the last year's Swiss National Cup in Ascona and victories in Aarberg and Crassier, Swiss National Cup qualifiers.
 
Living in St. Martin du Mont (France), Nadja Steiner reentered this season's Swiss team. A former youngster Swiss National Cup winner, she is known for her notable results with a 9 y.o. Holsteiner Celeste and Dutch gelding Well Done in Munich CSI and Antwerp CSIO.
